This design evokes the moment before the day awakens, when the light still hesitates and everything feels suspended.
Seen from above, the Alentejo landscape becomes a sensitive map of open fields, natural divisions, paths and fallow areas. Alvorada captures this moment, not literal but emotional, when the land breathes before action, in a silence full of promise.
Tufted with cut wool, Alvorada allows the surface to be worked like a tactile landscape.
This technique offers expressive freedom and enables the creation of soft reliefs, continuous forms and subtle textural variations. The result is a composition that feels hand-drawn directly onto the material, with fluidity and restraint.
Made with natural undyed wool, Alvorada preserves the character of the fibre in its raw state.
The absence of dye allows colour to emerge from the wool itself, ranging from dry whites to warm beiges. This palette, close to the earth’s light, underlines the contemplative nature of the rug and reinforces the connection between material, gesture and landscape.
